Abstract

We demonstrate the use of fiber Bragg grating based pulse-shaping technology for timing-jitter tolerant data demultiplexing in an 80Gbit/s OTDM system. Error-free demultiplexing operation with ~6ps jitter-tolerance is achieved, showing a 2dB power-penalty improvement compared to demultiplexing without the grating.
