Identification of Sources of Degradation in Optical Channels using Deconvolution Technique

Abstract

A novel histogram method to estimate the white Gaussian noise in the network is proposed. This method can be used to correctly deconvolve white noise from other sources of degradation. The limits of the deconvolution technique are also investigated.
