Abstract

A 40Gbit/s interface, optical code based photonic packet switch prototype is developed for the first time. Photonic packet swtching with 200Gchip/s all-optical label processing, 40Gbit/s/port packet switching, and optical buffering to avoid packet collision is experimentally demonstrated.
