Abstract

There has been a great deal of recent interest in large-scale photonic cross connects (PXCs) using micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) technologies. These PXCs offer the potential for cost- effectively switching large amounts traffic in the network, particularly at data rates of 10 Gb/s and beyond.
