Abstract

It has been shown that the slanted Bragg grating (SBG) is a highly attractive candidate for equalizing the gain spectrum of erbium doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs).1 This is a standard Bragg grating tilted during photo-inscription with an angle between the grating fringes and the normal of the fiber axis.
