Abstract

As high-speed local area networks (LANs) and optical access network technologies are being rapidly developed, there exists growing interest demand in the area of inter-connection among local fiber links. All optical and all fiber inter-connection can avoid expensive Optic-Electronic-Optic (OEO) conversion and further more secure a high transparency over the data rate and transmission capacity.
