Abstract
Optical transport networks (OTN) employing Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technique are focusing one the major points of interest in the optical communications field. These OTNs are capable to provide increasingly more and more transmission capacity and network facilities such as as flexibility, protection and restoration.1 To attain these network func-tionalities implies the utilization of Optical Add Dropp Multiplexers (OADM) based on AWG (Arrayed Waveguide Gratings) or the Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG) which will center our attention in this paper.
