Abstract

We numerically investigate the amplitude-noise and the timing jitter of pulses obtained by slicing coherent supercontinuum spectra. Applications such as TDM/WDM systems and all-optical data regeneration are addressed. We discuss system parameters for optimizing the quality of sliced pulses.
