Multiple-Output Er3+ Fiber Amplifier for Analog and QAM Distribution Systems

Abstract

We describe the performance of a low noise and high power four-output Er+3-Yb+3 fiber amplifier for the distribution of analog video and data signals. Successful transmission of 77 NTSC and 34 6Mhz 64-QAM channels are demonstrated.
