Abstract

Optically transparent packet data transmission technologies that provide access to the entire transport bandwidth, while reducing or eliminating the costly synchronization and time-division multiplexing hierarchy provided by traditional SONET/SDH layer, have attracted attention following the tremendous growth of the internet.
