Abstract

We demonstrate that by strategic selection of channel plan and power levels, a 400 kilometer 10 Gigabit per second system over a negative non-zero dispersion-shifted fiber (Corning® SMF- LS™) may operate with 38 channels over a 32 nanometer band close to lambda zero.
