Abstract

We demonstrate a bidirectional wavelength-division-multiplexed (WDM) passive optical network (PON) based on spectrum-slicing technique. This network transmits fifteen 500-Mb/s downstream and fifteen 155-Mb/s upstream channels over single strand of conventional single-mode fiber.
