Four-Wave Mixing in EDFAs

Abstract

We study FWM in C-and L-band EDFAs. We observe that FWM efficiency is determined by fiber length and channel spacing. We show that FWM from EDFAs exceeds that from NZDSF fiber in DWDM system.
