Abstract

In 40 Gbitls Electrical Time Division Multiplex (ETDM) transmission systems, both high speed, high gain drivers and high speed, high sensitivity photoreceivers are required The driver must output more than 2 Vpp over a DC to 40 GHz bandwidth to drive an Electro-Absorption Modulator (EAM) with a good extinction ratio.
