270-km 10 Gbit/s WDM dispersion compensation using a chirped AWGM

Abstract

We show that a 10-Gbit/s per channel SM-fiber WDM system could be extended from 70 Ian to 270 Ian using a Array-Waveguide Multiplexer (AWGM) with a quadratic phase shift added across waveguide array.
