Abstract

Erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) with broad signal bandwidth, low NF and high output power, and transmission characteristic improvement using chromatic dispersion management and modulation format are required for long-haul, wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) transmission systems.1–5
