Abstract

Nonlinear effects in IM/DD WDM transmissions, such as self-phase modulation (SPM) and four-wave mixing (FWM), attracted much attention (for example,1), however, the importance of the cross-phase modulation (XPM) seemed to be somewhat overlooked.
