Abstract

The birefringence distribution along the fiber length is interested to reduce the polarization-mode dispersion by optimizing the cabling pitch and strain1 and the evaluation of the PMD2 Tardy et al. reported the Polarization Optical Time-Domain Reflectomery (POTDR) is capable of evaluation of installed cable PMD and to locate singularities such as high moda1 coupling and highly stressed fiber zones3
