Abstract

Subcarrier-multiplexed VSB-AM video signal transmission systems have been intensively studied and have already been introduced to CATV trunk lines that employ conventional 1.3-μm zero-dispersion single-mode fiber (SMF). To expand CATV service areas, long-haul transmission through SMF is required.
