Abstract

We report enhanced four wave mixing in fiber by interacting a signal with high optical power recirculating within a Yb/Er doped fiber laser cavity. A conversion efficiency of 0dB was observed for a shift of 9.8nm and a maximum shift of 63nm was observed with an efficiency of −28dB.
