Abstract

Optical devices with wavelength-flattened characteristics have become urgently necessary because of the recent progress in fiber-optic communication systems such as the WDM system. However, an integrated-optic switch that can be used in a wide wavelength region is not yet available. In this paper, we propose a novel optical switch with a high extinction ratio over a wide wavelength region.
