Abstract

With high data rate and performance oriented functionality, Fibre Channel (FC) is rapidly gaining recognition and support throughout the industry as the preferred high-speed interconnect mechanism. The basic protocol of the Fibre Channel provides for duplex data flow and deals with switched point-to-point topologies permitting a wide variety of performance and implementation latitude.
