Abstract

Ultrafast all-optical logic gates may be important in future ultrafast and highly advanced telecommunication systems. A number of all-optical logic gates have been demonstrated in the past few years.1-3 Here we report on ultrafast highly stable all-optical logic operations, including inversion, AND, XOR, and XOR¯, in a nonlinear Sagnac interferometer with two pump pulses at multigigabit-per-second operation for the first time.
