Abstract

Single-frequency tunable lasers with linewidths in the submegahertz region are of great interest for applications in coherent optical communication systems. The only narrow-linewidth laser with wideband tunability reported so far employs a mechanically tuned bulk-optic reflection grating as an intracavity wavelength filter.1
