Abstract

With high-volume data traffic increasing, the need for arrays of sources and detectors becomes apparent. We have developed a monolithically integrated 1×12 array of individually addressable surface-emitting LEDs which are mounted on a Si fanout. Heat is dissipated by a copper block in a DIP package.
