Abstract

Analog data transmission is required in a variety of demanding applications where digitization is not practical due to environmental, cost, or bandwidth constraints. Two analog systems, designed for nuclear testing but applicable to a wide range of needs, will be discussed. One system is passive, utilizing a direct conversion of radiation to light, and the other is active, utilizing a more conventional ILD transmitter.
