Abstract

The baseband frequency response of multimode fiber is mainly determined by modal dispersion. For this reason the length dependence of bandwidth shows peculiar characteristics affected by the excited mode distribution, differential mode attenuation, mode conversion, and modal equalization between different lot fibers.
