Abstract

Massive number of generation and real-time recognition of 2-D label using optical codes and wavelengths are implemented for the first time. A test 640 Gchip/s, 128 × 128 optical encoder/decoder (E/D) in combination with the wavelengths in C-band (~4.4 THz) with 5 GHz interval of in C-band enables potentially up to about 1,000 labels.
