Rational Harmonic Mode-Locked Bismuth-Based Fiber Ring Laser

Abstract

We report a wavelength-tunable and rational harmonic mode-locked short-cavity ring laser employing a bismuth-based highly nonlinear erbium-doped fiber with a length of 150cm. Stable, amplitude-equalized, and near-TL short optical pulses up to 40GHz are obtained.
