Linear Polarization-maintaining Fiber Laser Mode-locked by Nonlinear Polarization Evolution

Abstract

We demonstrated a novel design of a linear polarization-maintaining (PM) Er-doped fiber laser based on nonlinear polarization evolution (NPE). This simple and reliable configuration can generate ultrashort pulses at a repetition rate of 60.9 MHz.
