Abstract

Based on the delayed self-heterodyne scheme, the linewidths of DFB and ECL are measured and analyzed by PSD of optical field, variance of phase difference and FM-noise PSD spectrum. The latter can measure the linewidth produced by white FM-noise. The impact of white noise and flick noise of laser on BER and mismatch length is researched.
