Cascaded Long-Period Fiber Grating Liquid Level Sensor at the Dispersion Turning Point

Abstract

We propose the fabrication of cascaded long-period fiber gratings inscribed in boron-germanium co-doped fiber at the dispersion turning point using CO2-laser. The liquid level characteristics of the cascaded LPFGs were investigated experimentally.
