GAIA: A Contention-free Optical Data Center Network Based on Arrayed Waveguide Grating Router

Abstract

A contention-free optical DCN based on SDN-scheduling and AWGR-forwarding is proposed and experimentally investigated. Results validate 920 ns latency and 0.13% packet loss at load of 0.5, improving 55% and 95%, respectively, comparing with OPSquare.
