Cost evaluation of ROADM architectures in Spaced Division Multiplexed Elastic Optical Network

Abstract

To evaluate the ROADM architectures comprehensively, this paper proposed cost evaluation models of Add/Drop structures, analyzed the cost of ROADMs based on the switching strategy of space division multiplexing and revealed the most cost-effective design.
