Coherent and Octave-Spanning Supercontinuum Generations in a Polarization-Insensitive Reverse-Ridge AlGaAs Waveguide

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a polarization-insensitive AlGaAs waveguide. For both quasi-TE and quasi-TM modes, the coherent supercontinuums, which span more than 1.95 octaves at −40 dB level, can be generated at mid-infrared spectral region.
