Modeling of PMD for wideband fiber channel and its influence on optical fiber communication system

Abstract

We propose a PMD model for the wideband channel, which can reflect the time-frequency evolutions of PMD in fibers, and evaluate how wide the single fiber channel we can use for high baud-rate communication systems.
