Abstract

To improve the readout signal quality for 3-Dimentional Pit Selection (3DPS), we designed new disc structure to suppress the normal-resolution signal which causes the noise of the readout signal. Using the disc with new structure which takes advantage of 3DPS, signal amplitude ratio of the normal-resolution to the super-resolution was reduced to be less than 0.5 which satisfies bit error rate of less than 10−5.
