Effects of 2-D interleaving and Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) Codes on Burst Errors

Abstract

We highlight the importance of interleaver in holographic data storage (HDS) systems corrupted by burst errors. We use the Gilbert-Elliott channel model to generate pages with burst errors and investigate a toroidal interleaving scheme.
