Hybrid Recording Material Candidates for Storage Densities beyond Tera bit/in2-CoCrPt, TbFeCo, Pd/Co, FePt

Abstract

Hybrid recording, in other words heat assisted magnetic recording is one of most hopeful storage device to open ultra high density region beyond tera bit /in2. In this study, through our recent experiments, advantages of hybrid recording in principle and several magnetic material candidates will be discussed.
