Photonic crystal nanocavities: Lithographically aligned optical filters and sources

Abstract

We have developed the fabrication techniques necessary to build tuneable sources and filters in Photonic Bandgap Crystals. By connecting such components with photonic crystal waveguides, we believe that it will become possible to define integrated photonic circuits.
