Abstract

We demonstrate an embedded optical circuit board (ECOB) for interconnecting bit-parallel 2D optical data array at board and back-plane levels. Up to three-layers of optical circuits of polymer fiber image guides (PFIG's) have been integrated to perform a shuffle or a butterfly interconnect task.
