Coherence-based Hybrid Optical/Computational Approaches to Three-dimensional Incoherent Imaging

Abstract

Computation in incoherent imaging has typically relied almost completely on the optical system, leaving little work for the sensor. Lens-based imagers only work for sources with a limited range of depth. For imaging volume sources, a lensless optical system in conjunction with digital data synthesis may perform better.
