Abstract

We report the first demonstration of a broadly tunable discretely wavelength-selectable 1.5 µm source based on an all-fiber low insertion loss (1.8 dB) Sagnac Hi-Bi fiber loop filter. We demonstrate 25 channel (up to ~70 channels possible) outputs with precise 50 GHz channel spacings and 65 dB side mode suppression ratios.
