Dependence of Raman Polarization Dependent Gain on Pump Degree of Polarization at High Gain Levels

Abstract

We report on measurements of Raman polarization dependent gain (PDG) vs. pump degree of polarization (DoP). Less than 0.2 dB PDG was observed for DoP levels up to 9%, at 23 dB of Raman gain.
