1300 nm-band WDM transmission employing PDFAs

Abstract

The signal wavelength region for WDM transmission has been expanded not only inside the EDFA gain band of 1530-1610 nm but also outside it (for example, to the 1400 nm band) to increase transmission capacity or to achieve highly functional photonic networks [1-3].
