Abstract

Optical functions such as amplification, switching and wavelength conversion based on Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers (SOA’s) are potentially attractive for optical fibre system. Among them, interferometric wavelength conversion based on cross-phase modulation in SOA’s has demonstrated regenerative and cascadability properties [1-4].
