Abstract

We have developed novel wide-dynamic-range WDM optical fiber amplifiers for 32 × 10 Gb/s, SMF transmission systems. The WDM optical amplifier realizes the per carrier ALC operation (7.3 ± 0.6 dBm) over a 7 dB input power range at 32 wavelength amplification.
