Abstract

Er-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) contain many optical components (Fig. 1). The integrated multifunction optical module decreases the optical circuit insertion loss and circuit size[1]. It divides the optical circuit into four, the front module, the Er-doped fiber (EDF), the pump laser, and the back module.
