Abstract

Optical amplifiers are very important devices for optical fiber communication and optical signal processing. Recently, optical fiber amplifiers and semiconductor amplifiers have been studied hard. However, integrated optical amplifiers using optical pumping are not so much discussed. Fiber amplifiers have a drawback that they need length over a few meter[l,2].
