DOP Modulation for Data Transmission

Abstract

Degree of polarization (DOP) offers a previously unutilized modulation method for polychromatic carriers. We analyze DOP modulation of a two-tone carrier, calculating the BER and quantifying the impact to simultaneous 2-PolSK or 8-PolSK signaling.
